Resolved Question: 14 Year old Enduro Racing? Cross Country?

I am 14 and I have been riding for four years and i want to start racing, the problem is my parents will not let me do motocross. On the other hand I can do enduro racing/ cross country dirt biking. (Are those the same?) I am pretty sure you do have to get an AMA membership, but before i get one i want to find some races I can do. I have no experience in racing, so i need a beginner place.
